When I make a crumble, I always have remaining crumble topping. This crumble freezes well for a later use.
Crumble
- 1/2 c (100g) brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c (100g) flour
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 4 Tbsp (60g) butter, frozen and cubed
- 1/4 c (25g) oats
- Mix (I use my fingers) into a crumble.
Fruit Filling
- 1/2 c (100g) sugar
- 1/4 c (35g) flour
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Mix, then coat fruit.
I baked this at 350 F (170 C) for about 25 minutes. When I pulled it out of (my new oven!!!) it was bubbly and smelled so inviting. I topped it with a dab of creme fraiche...oh my. How I love a crumble.
i need a crumble for my weekend. i might sub for season appropriate fruit, but this looks yummy.
